Alongside this, an uncapped sponsored humanitarian visa route will allow sponsors, such as councils, communities or private sponsors, to bring people to the UK. They will be able to work and the sponsor would provide housing and integration support. Further information will be provided on this as soon as it is updated.
Donations and support
While awaiting further official UK government guidance, Cheshire East Council will not be accepting any donations but it is collating pledges of support in readiness for possible arrivals to the borough.
